This week we are preparing for the NC- LSAMP conference tomorrow, November 17th. NC-LSAMP stands for The North Carolina Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation and is an organization that is funded by the NSF (National Science Foundation). They have three main focuses for their program: Increase the pool of competent underrepresented graduates with STEM bachelor's degrees, promote retention and baccalaureate degree attainment in STEM academic programs, and increase the number of students who matriculate into STEM graduate programs. I will not be able to attend the event tomorrow, but my team from last year's research will be presenting our findings from the previous experiment, which relates to some of the concepts we are working on this semester for our current research.
